The story

I designed the research questions and analyses and wrote the chapter with Selin Uretici. Pavlo Sereda and Solomiia Myronovych carried out the analyses; Ilke Dagli-Hustings contributed interpretation and context. We compare SCORE surveys from 2021 and 2023.

A finding to take away

Community exclusion had a stronger relationship with resilience than economic or service exclusion. Excluded groups also expressed less trust in state institutions. These associations make belonging a substantive recovery concern, without establishing a causal effect of inclusion policies.
